Meh, for all the guys who get the plug sockets stuck, I use a 16 or 15mm socket to tighten, spark plug socket to loosen/remove. I slide the plug into the socket guiding it down with my fingers too, the plugs are tapered so they dont cross thread either.

Welding a cheap extension is a good idea though..

Thats the set I have from matco. they are all magnetic and work very well.

Tape works if the car is cool, but man when the car is warm/hot the goo on the tape can get melty and slip. I found out the hard way and ended up with a socket and a wad of tape stuck down the tube. Might have to upgrade my ghetto socket setup to something nicer like this.
