Mobil 1 oil filters have never fit any Honda I have owned. Not to mention they do not appear to be the same size, and do not twist on 1 full turn before the oil filter gasket seats. The PCX filter twist at least 5 full turns.

Also, I am not sure if the Mobil 1 filter meets the new specs of the Honda OEM PCX filter the S2000 uses.

Yeah, I did the screwdriver in the oil filter method on my first oil change also.

I have the filter wrench now and oil change is a breeze.

I also use the jack on the driver side to keep the oil from getting on the engine or other parts of the car. I loosen the oil filter slowly and the oil drains right into the drain pan.

This car is so easy to change fluids on. Love it.

Easiest way IMO is to just use one of the rubber strap wrench deals, or a belt.

Puncturing the filter with a screwdriver doesnt seem all that great. What about any debris that is knocked loose and manages to go into the engine?

During my last oil change I used a Mobil 1 filter. I got it from O'Reilley's. It fits fine and hasn't leaked or anything in the past 3500 miles.

As far as it not being up to standards is probably not true. Mobil makes a quality product and surely their top of the line oil filter will work fine in the S2000. Its not like its a Ferrari.

2. I could not get off the old oil filter. I even tried sand paper in the filter wrench. 1.5 hours and a few bloody knuckles later, that SOB spun loose. - lost 2 hours
you need to get one of these oil filter wrenches, it'll come right off

Mobil 1 filtres are right up there with the best. Just make sure it's the right one.

I have a metal band wrench that I bought for my very first oil change in 1988, and I still use it to this day. It works great. I have never needed to use the screwdriver technique.
