Default Flywheel noise on cold start

So sometimes when I start my car, and only after it has been sitting in the cold and not ran for more than ten hours or so, what sounds like my fly wheel scrapping. It sounds like when you are in a regular car and it is already on and then you turn the key again. That horrible grinding sound. Once the car is warmed up from driving and then i turn it off and start it again it doesnt happen. And it doesnt happen everytime i cold start. Usually happens when a hot female is around though. But yea, i def know that it isnt because i keep the ignition pushed in too long either. Any thoughts.

It's either the starter sticking or the timing chain tensioner.

I'm not sure if there's any real fix for the starter but I know you can replace the TCT but you have to figure out which one it is because they both make a sound on startup.

TCT sounds more like when you put a baseball card in your bike spokes. whats your hearing is probably a sticky starter. its a common issue. I think you can pull the starter and grease the teeth up or replace it.

This is a pretty common complaint.

I too experience it, but haven't in a little while.
