Default Found this in the Oil Pan. Any Ideas?

In the process of swapping my f20 head onto a used f22c block that had some oil starvation and ruined the head. Upon swapping the timing chains I found this little doo dat in the oil pan. I sent a photo to the previous owner who was a mechanic and he is perplexed as well.

What do yall think it is

That's the thrust bearing. If your friend is a mechanic he shouldn't be perplexed. I would not be using that shortblock.

With oil starvation the bearings are one of the first things to go in this engine. This engine must've been run pretty low on oil to cause damage like that....

Yea if oil starvation ruined the head you can bet the entire bottom end was toast well before that
