Fresh Alignment

that a pretty neutral street setup for daily driving... next time max out camber in the rear and add a bit more up front

someone told me too much camber going to make cars straight accelerating worse , especially when i am sc'ed?

correct me if i am wrong plz.

More neg camber will actually help acceleration so long as you have traction...there is less tire contacting the road surface when traveling in a straight line, which reduces rolling resistance. But with our car, you won't notice much of a difference in accel. Just get an alignment that helps handling.

Starchland...looks like you had a very good UK spec alignment, which is the best compromise for handling and tire wear. I recommend the UK alignment especially for AP1s that are just street driven. Your current US spec alignment isn't what I would choose or recommend, but it should give you marginally better tire life.

oh ya? damn that sucks lol. oh well, Im interested in tire wear and I also kinda just wanted to set up the car as best I could from stock. Im still learning this car and later on I can tweak this car to suit it better once I find what im looking for. I am driving this car well below the threshold, or where I would find different alignment settings coming into play, imho.

Judging by the old tires, the rears were wearing nicely, but the fronts were cupping on the inside, I thought possibly from lowering springs installed w/o an alignment. I did not want this cupping to happen to my new tires.

That first sentence is very interesting since IMO its just the opposite. In a straight line (1/4 mile) it is more desired to have a greater contact patch area that would hint why drag racers always 0 there camber whereas autocross racers desire at least -2.5 on the camber for better contact patch for your outer tire. I am in no way saying you are wrong but in my yrs of racing I have always followed the above camber rules.

you are going to want to take it back in a week or so when the springs settle cause it'll throw the alignment off again

the springs had been settled for over a year by the previous owner.

And to add the car rode like crap with the uk alignment settings. very twitchy, not comforting at all, would follow ruts, bump steer like crazy,etc. could have also been the worn tires
