Ive seen it where the engine gets too hot and timing needs to be retarded beyond its limits and caused codes

Did you make sure the cams are aligned properly

Cams and timing are perfect turns out. I unplugged the knock sensor and drove the car (no change what so ever). I guess the ebay knock sensor wasn't worth the 60 bucks. I'm going to order the OEM knock ssensor this time and hope that this will be the final piece. It seems to run nicely (smooth and quiet), just has the power of a civic lol.

Alright guys... so after MANY problems with this build, everything has finally been resolved. The valves were the culprit at first, however during the adjustment of them I accidently pulled too hard on the wiring harness and broke the knock sensor (found this out after replacing it with another one last night lol). The car is now running with plenty of power. I do have a leaking injector however, which I hope to cure with some injector cleaner. If not, then injectors will be the next purchase lol. I want to thank everybody for their help! After 4 months my S is finally back on the road.. I appeciate it!
