i dont know how this works but i ALWAYS keep my air on recirculate and at about 30k miles it was very dirty!!

Mine has 61,000 on it and after checking this out I'm scared to look at mine haha. It's putting out some odor too so I'm going to go ahead and put a new one in, and I hope mine isn't worse than Ness2000.

For those that say no need to change it. You do use your vents for a/c or outside air don't you, it makes a tremendous difference in overall air quality/odor in the cabin area!

i changed mine around 5k miles ago....the old one was so dirty and filled with sand...no wonder i was getting a wierd smell when i turned on the A/C. when i changed it the A/C felt cooler and smelled nice
