Default Front Upper Control Arm bolt STRIPPED

For some reason when i was torquing those size 17mm with 75lbs of torque, it didnt hold pretty good and i happen to stripped the nut but not the bolt. Ive tried to rethread them but didnt help at all so what i did was I went to some hardware store and picked up same size of bolt but longer where it can pass through the nut and got myself some wheel stud to hold them for now. They held up pretty good and i happen to torque them at the spec but my concern is, is this good enough? Pls let m eknow any suggestions you guyst might have for me to fix this problem. More feedback, the better thanks much

I am not sure of the head marking designation but it is obviously a special high strength bolt. I would only consider the hardware store bolt a temporary replacement until you can get a OEM bolt installed.

its rated #10 and heat treated. I hope they are ok, i have been driving it like crazy today and checked them earlier but they seem to be staying where they are..but then again i will definitely look for an oem bolt just to be on safe side. I just hope that they will not snap on me while driving..more feedback pls

Sounds like the bolt strength is ok, if it has the right fit just leave it as is.

The bolt is not an issue but the feeling of doing it the right ways is bother me man eheheh...i mean i have driven the car a lot lately and the bolt seemed to hold pretty good. Anyways, i made an appointment at the body shop to take a look at them this week and il find out how much. When the mechanic look at it, he said that its fine with what i did, he said that i really didnt have to get the job done to them. If ever they right the estimate, i would say, it shouldnt be no more than $100 because all they need to do is remove that loosethread bolt and replace them with a different one. Hope their estimate will be cheaper...
