FUEL CAP = 3 clicks or CHECK ENGINE LIGHT
I actually had a problem with my '99 Civic EX with the EVAP and CEL light, there is a small vent tube under the gas filler and it became clogged with sand and would trip the light, poke at it with a metal hanger and it would be unclogged for a little bit...
Reason I say this...
I got around having the CEL light by not tightening the gas cap all the way
, must have leaked enough not to cause an issue for the gas cap, but enough not to trip the other code!
Cheap fix but having a loose cap can mean a leak and CEL light!

Canucks2000, you have to pull the code, otherwise, we don't know if the evap system is really your problem.
Misfire on cylinder #1 from what I understand. I do notice the exhaust now has a slight popping/burbles when in idle. Also I THINK I notice it hestitate slightly at acceleration once in a while (though it can be my imagination). What the heck is this, just out of no where this happened...I hope it's bad gas.
Where should I start? Check the MAP sensor? (which by the way, no zip tie on the connector)
I just got the check fuel cap message. I remember clicking more than 3 times, but either way I popped the cover and tightened it more. A few trips later the message went away, but if it didn't I was going to reset it by unplugging the battery.
Tightening a fuel cap one or more "clicks" is universal in late cars. My '06 cap just notes "tighten to click" not 3 clicks. I once got a scrolling message in the gauge cluster about a loose fuel cap so I give it a couple, not just one click now. My message went away quickly but it may take a couple of driving cycles. And a new cap.
The other note inside the fuel door is "premium fuel required' that someone recently didn't note and filled with US 87 octane with performance issues.

There is a related issue with certain early models that resulted in a Honda Service Bulletin. In some older models the filler pipe threads were defective and prevented proper function of the gas cap. The result was improper sealing, and codes. My 02 had this problem. I replaced the fuel filler neck and replaced the cap. The problem was solved. Here is the Service Bulletin:
