Default Fuel contamination problems

So, I’ve been dealing with fuel contamination for about a year now. I had ran out of gas about a year ago and tolled into a no name gas station. The next day mycel would blink and the car wouldn’t idle. I’ve replaced spark plugs, ignition coils, fuel pumps with filters, both O2 sensors, have had the injectors cleaned, etc. I had the car with a mechanic for a while, and he figured out it was fuel contamination.

He had sent me a photo of the gas with the contamination before his last go at it. He removed the pump and took a photo of the gas. You could see bubbles at the top of the gas, live if you mixed oil and vinegar and can see the fluids separated. The car runs much, much better now, as in it idles and drives without bucking like crazy. Now, I just get slight hesitations when goving half-to-full throttle above 4000 rpm. When I say sloght hesitations, I mean that the motor lags as if its choking.

What can I do to get this cleaned out for good? Any fuel additives I can use to clean out the fuel lines and injectors? If I end up having to drain out the fuel tank, what should I clean it with, and what do I do with the drained gas? Should I consider replacing the fuel tank?

Default Water in the gas?

"Separated fluids" sounds like water in the gas, to me. I don't know how much water you have, if that's it, but if it's a lot you probably want to drain the tank. You might first try putting a couple of quarts of alcohol in a full tank of gas, as the alcohol will mix with both the water and the gas and be drawn through the system.

Pull fuel injectors and replace with OEM's or send out for cleaning.

Thanks for the advice guys. The injectors were cleaned early on trying to figure out the problem, but I don’t think it would hurt to clean them again. I just got a can of seafoam and will see if that helps.

But, should this all not work, what would be the next step?
