Default Fuel Gauge

I filled my car up today (10+ gallons) and my fuel gague didn't "fill up" quickly, so i thought it might just be that it was cold. So i drove home and it got up to 8 bars (2 less than half a tank) and i turned the car off and went inside. I went out 2 hours later, and it still is only reading 8 bars.

Any one have this problem?

edit: i just went out and turned the key to the acc. position and left it like that for around 5 mins, and the gauge is increasing, but does anyone know why its taking forever?

Mine started getting slow with age too. I'm sure it is the fuel gauge sensor in the fuel tank. Too much of a PIA to replace it. It gives me a pretty good idea when I need to fill up.

i turned off the car, then put the key back in the ON position and got out to fill my car up. i got back in the car because it was like 15 degrees out, and i watched my gas gauge slowly go up as gas was replenished! i thought it was pretty neat.
