Are Fuel Injectors Left Sitting For Years Still Good to Use?
I'm looking at buying oem fuel injectors on craigslist, and they were pulled from a car with 100k miles 3 years ago and left sitting. They were in good working condition before the owner pulled them to upgrade to a larger size.
I know when a lawn mower sits over winter with fuel in the tank, usually this fuel gums up the carb and it has to be cleaned out for it to start. I was wondering if the same could've happened to the injectors. Or if all the fuel is pretty much pushed out of the injectors when the car is off.

My problem with this scenario (I've seen a similar set on Craigslist) is that at 100k, and depending on the geographical location, they're probably already dirty and gunked up. And then they sat for years in that state (seller keeps posting them on CL, weekly for years) without lowering his price :P
Last time I paid for injector cleaning, it came up to $75-100 with new gaskets.
Does the craigslist + cleaning fee add up to a significant savings over new ones?

Brand new they're a bit more than that, last I checked it was more like $130 each.
