Fuel leak problem...
I installed an AEM fuel rail on my wife's car and have an issue with fuel leaking from the quick disconnect connector. I initially installed the fuel rail yesterday, turned on the ignition a few times to prime the fuel system, checked for leaks and found none at the time. I didn't start the car yesterday because I had some other things to work on. This morning I finished with the other items and turned-on the ignition a few times to check again for any leaks. Sure enough fuel was leaking out of the quick disconnect connector. As you know, there is a lime green fitting which clips onto the hard fuel line and holds the quick disconnect connector. This lime green fitting has two tabs on it (one large and one small). I have a feeling I am not attaching it in the correct direction.
I didn't pay enough attention when initially disconnecting the OEM parts and cannot remember the correct direction. If I place it such that the large tabs face the engine itself, I can get the quick disconnect connector to slide onto the hard line but cannot slide it up far enough so that it locks onto the tabs. If I place the fitting such that the large tab faces to driver's side fender wall, the large tab will go into the quick disconnect fitting, but the fitting isn't totally secure unless I have both tabs fully inserted into the quick disconnect. I had initially installed it this way yesterday and experienced the leak.
Any suggestions?

Alright, the fitting is in the correct direction, but I cannot get the hard line to go far enough into the quick disconnect connector so that the small tab clicks into it. The quick disconnect connector simply isn't letting the hard line to go in any further. Any suggestions as to how to get it to seat all the way?

Make sure the green clip is in the groove on the hard line. Is the hard line OEM or is it from AEM?
Well, the fuel inlet fitting is good to go, but I've found the major cause for the fuel leak in the first place--the fuel fitting (which the banjo line and pulse dampener attach to) does not have a freaking hole in it! I don't know how in the hell that happened, but the car is now down hard! I ordered the fuel rail through Evasive, so I will be calling them tomorrow and request that AEM overnight me a fuel fitting with a freaking hole in it!
