Fuel Pump

7: Remove the bolts (A) and the fuel tank unit (B). (A) shows 8 bolts in a circle holding the whole unit submerged in the tank. Looks like it just lifts out here.
A second set of eyes helps too. Someone to peer down through the rear window at what your doing helps much. It's all by feel otherwise. Don't want to drop something down into the tank. We had three people because it was dark and needed someone to hold the light.

KEY TIP: Also, before lifting the unit out of the tank get a LOT of towels/rags. As you lift it out you have to tilt the unit over to clear the filter secured to the bottom. When you do this a lot of gas "will" spill. You don't want your car smelling like fuel do you?

Do I have to change the fuel filter every 60000 miles or when the fuel pressure is low
