Default Fuel Pump going out?

I was driving on the interstate for about 45 minute then my cars starts to buck a little, the rpms are fine it just felt like the car was hitting the brakes constantly. Well I slow down to exit and the car just dies. When it came to a complete stop, I tried to start it up but it would not fire. After waiting a few minutes it starts right up like nothing ever happened. Drove it to my destination and was idle for 2 minutes and it dies, try to start it up again but it wouldn't fire. I did notice a few days ago that my car would take a bit longer to start up in the morning.

No CEL and the battery is good, I am thinking my fuel pump is going out? I do have 120k on MY02

It's possible, but I'm not sure you can't rule out other problems. There are numerous people with over 200k miles with their original fuel pump. I personally have 183,000 miles without any problems.

Your symptoms might be electrical. If you have a bad ground to your engine, you might get the same problem.

I'm just curious - what was the weather like when this happened. Was it raining or humid out?
