Default Fuel Pump issue?

Hi guys,
Today i swapped my OEM fuel pump with a DW200, as it was not working properly (not enough fuel pressure).
After finishing the installation, the pump is priming properly (I can hear the sound) but the car is not running properly : it bogs and is about the stall on 1st gear and low rmps only. At high revs, the car is working fine...
I realized then I did a small mistake : I didn't use the given fuel filter strainer/sock that came with it (small orange square), but an OEM new strainer (bigger and white). It fitted properly, but i'am not sure if that can creates issues? Do I have to change the fuel pressure regulator when installing a DW200? OBD scanner will help getting psi data?
Many thanks for your feedback. I really don't want to open the whole thing again, but if i have to.. Shall I go back to OEM pump and test?
