Fuel Pump - Not Priming when car is hot
Strange issue I've been experiencing for the past few months. I use the car every 1-2 weeks on the weekend and noticed when I initially start it up, no issues and drives perfectly fine. At times, if i were to park, shut off the car and come back outside, or leave the car outside in the heat, when I try to turn it back on, the fuel pump will not prime which prevents the car from starting. I thought it had to do with one of the relays, by the driver side, since when I was fiddling with it all of a sudden, I heard the fuel pump prime, but looking at the wiring diagram, seems the fuel relay is located under the passenger side. I've done some research and it may be the main relay on that side, but wouldn't that cause issues while driving? Once the car is on, I experience 0 issues with stalling or anything fuel related. There aren't any engine codes so that doesn't help the cause. Has anyone experienced something like this?
Still on AEM? They don't like weak batteries, so if your battery is old it's probably time for a new one. Check hot voltage when not running. Also consider checking your grounds and upgrading to thicker gauge cables.
