Default Possible dead fuel pump?

I drove the car earlier to a friends house and it drove perfectly awesome like usual. I got there and shut the car off while I waited for my friend to be ready and I started it again but it sounded weak and after a second or two it died. After that the car would just crank but not fire up, I think it's the fuel pump but I'm not too sure and I don't have the money right now to replace something only to find out it wasn't it. I didn't notice the fuel smell trying to start it but idk for sure. What else could it be? Any genuine help is very much appreciated.

The main relay could be bad. That had happened to me. Search the forum, if you add external power to fuel pump and it runs, then you know. Only trouble is to remove all the panels to get to the fuel pump.

Thanks for the idea, I'll try this out tomorrow once I get the car home and update.

Can you hear the fuel pump prime? Are you low on gas?
You should be able to hear the fuel pump if you turn the ignition to ON without starting.

I tried the relay seams fine. Put a new pump still won't start. The mechanic helping me said the pump turns on for a couple seconds and turns back off and he thinks it's an electrical issue. I have plenty of gas at least a quarter tank or a little more.

I had a similar issue with mine. Fuel pump would randomly lose power. I just ran a dedicated power wire from the battery to it, the proper way. Fused, relay with switched power.
