Had somebody suggest that it might be a ground also... going to:

1.) try to start it for the 1st time this morning w/o jumping it. if that doesn't work:
2.) hook up jumpers from my other car to: a.) neg. batt terminal b.) temporary ground somewhere by the starter on some bare metal. if it starts after step 2 then it's a ground somewhere and if not, it's off to the stealership!

If that was damaged, would it cause the car to shut off while driving or would that only explain it not starting back up?
Should only affect restart.

So this is the first time tracing grounds on anything but a 92-00 civic where they're all the same... I'm trying to check all the grounds and clean them up but can't find where they are.... can anybody help?

I've had the same issue and it was the battery. I did the same thing and took it to Autozone for some a recharge and worked fine. A week later the car died again and the battery was dead.

Get a new battery and take it to Autozone for a free starter and alternator test to be positive it isn't any of those issues, but my bet is your battery is dead

Trying to get a new battery as a last resort it's only 2 years old I don't understand how it could be killed by sitting for only 2 months, never had that happen before.

Sitting for 2 months??!! You can definitely kill batteries by doing that.

Costco sells a solar powered car charger to keep batteries alive if you don't drive the car too often.

Well took the battery to NAPA and he said "this battery could start a 747" so I know the battery is good. Since the battery is still fully charged, I also know the alternator is still good. I'm thinking ignition switch for sure now but still haven't been able to check all the grounds since I have no idea where they are lol.

Any help there?

Just trying to help.

I have had batteries tested and the results were good just like yours. However once I replaced the battery all my issues went away.

Problem exactly like mine? I just can't get past thinking it can be the battery if it dies and then starts up and runs for a whole day or more again w/o having to jump it after it dies... seems like either a.) I should have to jump it or b.) it wouldn't last that long after dying and restarting w/o a jump if it was the battery.

You really think it could be the battery? I'm almost positive it's the ignition switch but the grounds are free to rule out so I want to check them all out.
