Are you running an aftermarket ecu such as AEM EMS? If so, maybe your startup fuel map requires adjustment ... could cause starting difficulty and thus drain your battery.

Yes, I am running AEM actually. Car is boosted, too guess I should've mentioned that. When it does start, it fires right up no rough starts or starting then dying or anything that would lead me to think it was ems related though... Seems like straight battery/power issue. Also, that wouldn't explain it shutting off while driving.

Well just got a call that my ignition switch came to the dealer. Tomorrow I hope I don't waste $150 having them order and install it. I'll update tomorrow

So, update: Replaced ignition switch, no go. Replaced main relay, no go. Checked all grounds, no go.

Anybody have any ideas?

...Alternator

Shut off while driving, battery has no juice, hence your not charging, so its your alternator jawn.

No power for ignition, so car dies.

Similar issue.Battery takes a charge, car starts right up.Get out in the heat at the autox had to push start the car.Go for pizza afterwards, car starts right up.Heat saps batteries.Cheapest route, check the fluid level in the battery,I know it says maintenance free but that is a misnomer. You can add distilled water.Put it on a trickle charge overnight and see if that breaths life back into it.Best bet is a new battery.Charge it before before u install.Car is probably pissed that you're getting rid of it.Did u mention it infront of the car?

Check for corrosion under the insulation on the battery cable. Maybe a bad cable.

If it was the alternator, why would it shut off then turn right back on before?

If it was the alternator and the battery drained to the point of the car shutting off, I'd imagine that it wouldn't have enough power to start again... am I wrong in thinking this?

Oh wow didn't see the 2nd page haha.

I am thinking I may bite the bullet and just buy a new battery even though it keeps coming back as ok.

And I think you may be right about her being upset with me lol that's the only thing I can come up with as to why she's not cooperating.
