Gaiters on replacement steering rack?

Gaiters on replacement steering rack?
Hi All.
I'm having to replace the steering rack because of water ingress.
Got one off eBay for a decent price that I hope works.
Just wondering if it would be sensible to replace the gaiters on it before it's fitted to the car?
If so, any recommendations for decent ones?
Cheers
Mark

I assume you mean the boots?
I only guessed that because a thing you wear around your neck to keep warm that also can be pulled up over your neck, but is a closed loop unlike a scarf, is called a neck gaiter lol

Coverings over your boots/pants to keep brush and debris out are also called gaiters so the OP probably means the boots.
Pshhttt...urban dwelling city slickers
To the OP, cheap insurance replace with OEM all the way. Most aftermarket ones are some sort of neoprene which don't hold up as well.
Edit: woop! I can say I learned Billman something now, lol.

Ah, two countries separated by a common language :-)
Yeah, I guess boots would be another way of saying it!
I was worried about cheap ones, so I'll see if I can get OEM from the local dealer.

Just another Across the Pond terminology thing.
They call the shift boot a shift gator too. What we call boot, they call gator. And what they call boot, we call trunk.
