Default Gap between the passenger window and rubber piece

I just happen to notice this today while washing my car. I noticed that there is a gap between the rubber piece (the long strip on the top of the door) and window on the passenger door, on the outside. The gap is big enough to annoy me, and for water to easily go through. I've tried searching for threads from anyone with the same problem, but no luck. Whenever the door is closed, the gap is sealed, but that doesn't make me feel better. Anybody else have this problem, and/or solved it? I might have to go visit the dealer, and if I do, any advice before going?

This sounds like a non-problem to me. There are adjustments for the window glass to move it out, but if you do so, you'll probably trade a real problem for this one. If you move the glass outboard to contact the weatherstrip on the door, it may not seal properly on the roof weatherstrip. The seal against the roof and A-pillar are more important than the seal to the door, IMO.

See the dealer. No gaps on mine, and I don't see how this could be anything other than an adjustment or something broken.

The door is designed to handle moisture, but not much. Repeated dousing will eventually rust the regulator assy and door lock mechanism, possible the interior of the sheet metal.
