Yea I drive a MY06. I usually fill it up when I have about 2-3 bars left, and I get about 10ish with no problems.

it doesn't "pop" off? MMmmm. thats kinda weird. just cut it off around 10 gallons.=/ try a different pump. if problem persists, then go to the dealers.

Some pumps do that with my 2002. The filler neck but be closer to horizontal than other cars, because when it clicks off I can usually see fuel right up to the internal little flap where the pump goes.

I wouldn't be terribly worried, just pay attention Don't go full throttle on the pump when you're getting near full.

its the check valve in the filler neck, they had a recall on the 350z's.

The first time I ever filled up my '00, it clicked, I hit the handle again and gas spewed everywhere. On my Explorer, it usually clicks around 15.5 gal from empty and I can slowly squeeze in another 2-2.5gallons, along with every other vehicle I've owned. The S is done at the first click if it didn't spew out any gas before hand.

just let the gas station attendent worry about it. haha yea im from NJ and we dont have self serve. but i have filled my own tank before and when it clicks off, its pretty much filled to the top. i always had room to top off in my integra, but not the s2k. they must be made differently. it must be known by gas station attendents because none of them have ever tried to top it off after it clicks off.
