Long story short - the entire gauge cluster is black, with nothing working Except! the battery light.
Long story long - I just bought my first s2k '03 ap1 (whoop whoop). I noticed some lights were out in instrument cluster. So I took it out, opened her up and two lights were out. Noticing the very top left and right had two bulbs that seemed to be boxed in and not lighting anything. So I took them and swapped them into the dead bulbs behind, the gas meter and middle of the RPMs, because they all said 2V on the back. After putting everything back together and plugging everything in exactly how it was (see short story) and now I regretted ever touching it.
I have checked fuse 5 and 25 and swapped them for other 7.5 fuses. no luck
I have checked C101, unplugged it blew compressed air in both sides and firmly reconnected it. no luck
Plugging the "blue" one in lights up the battery light.
After minutely fiddling with the "red" one I can get some type of clicking 2 different ones to be exact. After a solid 5 minutes of the little shifts to the perfect position I can have the whole gauge light up but when I turn the key off then back on it literally just lights up fully and doesn't display revs or mph.
Did I really muck it up and should just buy a new one?
Or
Are there any ideas for fixing it.
