Howdy,

I did a quick search and didn't turn up much. All the talk about oil and engine failures has me looking to put in an oil pressure gauge. I know I can handle the sensor (oil) side, but I'm curious if anyone has mounted aftermarket gauges in the car, and where.

I assume there aren't any pillar pods available... has anyone mounted one that doesn't look completely hokey? I know a "stock" look will be impossible, but I want something that won't tick off the wife

I believe Wesmaster or someone with a supercharger has gauges mounted. I don't remember where. I guess do a search on "Wesmaster" or "supercharger".

 

I brought a set of 3 gauges from Japan: oil pressure and temp and water temp. Defi is the brand and they come with a control unit that saves on cabling and let you program them. Had to get some additional hardware to place the sensors.

I considered several mounting points, and I have come to the conclusion that there is no way to avoid defacing the car but for one exception: the headunit location. There is enough space to mount the 3 gauges there and that is what I will do. Obviously the headunit has to go somewhere else. Still searching, but if nowhere else it will go in the trunk.
