Think he meant to say
Found where to get oil pressure off the factory sender but where for heat?
I have my sensor through the oil pan bolt. Just drill a hole through it and epoxy the sensor in.

yea sorry I was watching the news and typing at the same time :-( I have an oil temp gauge. Just wanna know where I should go for that. I think I saw that the new defi gauge has like an oil filter adaptor and then you just go off that. Am I correct or are they all like this?

I believe they have a sandwich adapter.

I have heard it reads high due to the radiated block heat.

If your oil temp gauge/sender is Autometer, or if your temp sender is 1/8 in. NPT, Summit Racing sells the weld-in bungs for like $10. Remove your oil pan, drill a hole and weld the bung in.

It's real easy to drill through the drain bolt.

Just buy a 2nd one and do that. The only down side is you need an open ended wrench for an oil change.
