Gear fluid

Will using Mobil 1 75w90 GL-5 mess up my trans? I see people using Honda MTF-2 but the Honda dealer is a bit of a drive, buying more local would be nice.

Stay with Honda MTF-2 . Have the dealer ship it to you.

GL-5 is not good for transmissions, it is ok for differentials. MTF -2 is for transmissions.

I didn't have any responces before my lunch so I took a long one and drove to Honda and picked some up. Thanks for the answers guys. I'll know for future references.
