If you remove the console there is a rubber boot over the gearshift held in place by a large plastic retaining ring that I assume snaps into place to hold the boot down to the trans tunnel. Specifically does anyone know the exact proceedure to remove it? Do you just pry it up or is there some special method or sequence??
