Getting stuck 1/2 way through first gear and... bogging
First issue: Sometimes when i'm at a stop and try to go into 1st gear it will get stuck half way in. It's so random but when it happens I start scrambling putting it in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, press the clutch, etc. trying to get the car moving when the light turns green so i dont turn out to be the asshole in the convertible with the top down lol.
What can cause this? It has no problem actually going into 1st 90% of the time and 1st doesn't grind but every once in a while when I'm at a stop light and about to go, it will happen. It does NOT do this when I go from 2nd-1st or if the car is rolling (which is good since a synchro issue would cause a grind when rolling right?). It does not do this normally when I'm driving. It does this when I am going from neutral -> 1st and only very rarely.
Symptom: It goes in 1/2 way into first. you can feel it's not all the way and it feels like you just went half the distance. Trying to go anyway will make it pop out. I once fought the panic and tried to see what was going on despite being the first car in line on a green light. If I wiggle it around it will slide the rest of the way in it appears. But I'm not 100%..
Would lubing the gear box help with this issue? What about a transmission fluid change?
2nd issue: Bogging. What can cause the car to bog when at very low speeds (parking lot speeds) and low RPMs? It sounds and feels like the car is gasping for air and this will cause the car to kind of buck as if you released the clutch pedal to fast. You can hear it too.
Could it be due to an intake filter being too dirty? Or can it be fixed by spraying some carb/brake cleaner into the throttle body and Idle control valve?
EDIT: Still would like your guys' thoughts to see if it's something any of you dealt with before but meanwhile I think I'm going to get started on this list:

If you have any opinions on what it might be, lmk. The air filter is some cheap spectrum crap on my aem intake so I might just go buy a KN filter for $55 at Oreillys.
I dont have a check engine light btw.
Any help appreciated.

I'm also interested in the bogging. Mine does something similar; if I take off gently under low throttle, even if I floor it immediately after, there is just no power until I'm above about 2500 RPM. If I stab the throttle before releasing the clutch, or just take off hard, it's fine. It's temperature independent. IAC still likely?
Mine was bogging and Idling rough so I had my local garage clean the throttle body and IAC and now it idles smooth and doesn't bog out.
I had the a similar issues with shifting but I resolved it by changing the clutch fluid which was super dirty and hadn't been changed in forever. I also has the trans fluid and diff fluid changed. Car shifts perfectly now. Guess the worn out clutch fluid wasn't always engaging the clutch when I pushed it.

I have to same issue with the shifter. As for bogging, I changed my plugs when I started getting a misfire. Doesn't happen anymore.
My theory with the shifter not being able to go into first very well has to do with the old pressure plate. I'm on the orgional clutch, not sure about you. I've put DOT4 and properly bled the CMS as well as new tranny fluid and I even regreased the shifter.
