Got *MORE* Boost? Vortech high boost pulley installed...
How is the car running otherwise ? If everything seems in order my guess would be that the Vortech Timing box is pulling out a lot of timing. I may be wrong but I think it will pull out timing at the stock boost levels.I believe that this is why you saw almost no increase I think the vortech box just pulled out more timing to compensate for the elevated intake temps. IMO, pulling out timing may be a little bit of overkill especially with the aftercooler. If timing wasn't being pulled out you probably would have pulled between 320-335 rwhp with your current air/fuel ratios. (Slightly lean)
Have you tried adjusting the VTEC engagement point higher? I'm not making a SC vs. turbo comparison here but we found it much easier to tune my car... especially at higher boost levels once we adjusted VTEC engagement to 6200 RPM's. We had some pretty weird dips around VTEC when we tried moving VTEC down from stock with FI.

Huh? That doesn't make sense, are you talking about blow off valves perhaps?
A wastegate is only used only for turbo setups, and opens when the exhaust manifold pressure exceeds a certain amount of spring and air pressure holding the wastegate valve shut. (ie only when you're getting on it)

The last time i was with Yellowstreak (Pete) at a dyno session we basically confirmed that the AFC did NOT like going into + values with either of our Comptech SC cars. they both exhibited DRASTIC power losses at WOT. solution was to add more mechanical fuel with the FMU and take away fuel with the VAFC to get correct A/F ratios. the same may apply with the Vortech kit.
