Anyone want to start placing bets?

What is also strange is you didn't make much more if any peak hp.
BTW your problem is totally different from mine with the stock ECU going into limp mode...

Jenner, of course I understand about the fuel pressure.
Remember, I went through that already 6monthes ago.

Also you are right, VAFC just doesn't cut it with bigger injectors.
Remember, I am having problem with this even with fuel pressure turn down all the way with maximum fuel cut value 45% with 440cc injectors.
Running very rich even up to 5K rpm and rich enough to throw code and create havoc in drivability in low to mid rpm.
Basically I have to gingerly accelerate other wise big hesitation until I let go of the throttle.

So this can be very expensive venture if you decide to fool with stock Vortech or Comptech unit to accomodate larger boost.

Those who are already done it including myself is still looking for good and in-expensive solution. Adding another set of injector may be really good solution if someone can find a good fabricator to work on. You only need additional help of fuel delivery post VTEC so this can work out really good.

Hey mike, have you touched the VTEC engagement from stock 6K rpm?
have you lowered it? say down to 5K?

What could be causing that dip in power? The A/F doesn't dip like the HP. The A/F isn't as bad as I expected it to be. I expected a fuel and possible timing problem but not that extreme.

I don't why exactly but lately I am having problem like that too.
Just before the Vtec engages it hesitates big time and goes into vtec.
Maybe colder weather has something to do with it.
Try tapping the Map sensor or replace it if you want to be sure.

MAP sensor plays a critical role in how the ECU behaves, it can really rob you of excess of 50+ hp if something is wrong. Replace or tap the map sensor and reset ECU and see if that helps. You must feel that huge dip like hesitation when you drive, right?
Try putting back the stock VTEC point or lower crazy like I have to 4800 rpm and see if that does anything.

I'm convinced it's the timing. What you need to do is have an OBD2 hooked in giving you a reding on the timing while you're making your pulls. This of course is just an opinion. But I'm willing to wager that if you want to get a "proper" solution, go AEM ECU and wideband O2 sensor. I'll bet you hit 325ish rwhp on pump gas.

You guys have to remember that the Vortech box controls the timing and not the ECU. There is no way for me to adjust it with out replacing the unit itself.
