Default Gravity Brake Bleed

I replaced my brake lines, painted rear calipers, and installed a Stoptech bbk. I put tubing on the bleeder and let it sit for hours and nothing happened. I tried on 3 different calipers too. Any advice? Also how should I bleed the st calipers as they have 2 bleeders each? Both open at the same time?

years and years ago I bought one of these, and haven't had any bleeding frustrations since

Save yourself the heartache and pick one up. I've never had luck with gravity bleeds on brakes (maybe I don't have enough patience), and several times I've been unable to get all of the air out using the 2 man pedal pumping method. This is on various different cars, not s2k specific.

With this bleeder I can do the entire car myself in a matter of minutes (once everything is setup - car on stands etc).

I think you need to start or prime the calipers and tubing in between with some fluid. So use the conventional pump pump release. Once you get some fluid in there, go back to gravity.

Thanx guys

Do I bleed each side of the ST calipers separately?

^ that.

also if they are not bleeding there may be some gunk in the line restricting flow.

in my past expiriences as a mechanic if there is free flow in the lines it should not take more than 1-3 minutes for fluid to bleed through.

also i have found that after you are done bleeding, pump the brakes and open them again to let out any bobbles that may have been stuck where the brake line meets the caliper.

Thanks. I installed new lines and the MC was open. I did a traditional 2 person bleed and followed up with a gravity bleed.
