grey smoke in vtec?

Default grey smoke in vtec?

car runs great under the 6k area not until vtec hits to i see white greyish smoke....car doesnt over heat or seem to be using oil what could this be and what would be the estimated cost at a dealer to fix car has 78,000 miles 2001 if that makes any difference no smoke at stop just in vtec

could it be valve stem seals??

its normal, your going to burn oil in vtec no matter what and sometimes its unburned fuel.

Mine does it over 8500, but only if I haven't hit that range for a while. It won't do it every time.

I think it's normal. I'm sure you could fix it, but would it be worth the expense? Nope.

Yeah i rarely hit vtec( let the flaming begin) so could be a possibility

Are you sure its not BLACK? black would indicate carbon blowing out of the exhaust. Very common if you drive with a heavy throttle at low RPMs or a earlier s2000.

Could be this ^^

My car doesnt smoke when I hit 6k (v-TAK) or 8.5k (shift point for me when racing )

I own an 01' AP1 with 92k AND GOING UP

maybe the oil you are using?
