grey smoke in vtec?

Oil causes a light blue smoke, coolant causes a white smoke, and unburned fuel causes blackish smoke. My guess is probably unburned fuel mixed with the slightest oil, which is normal in an AP1. Is it ALOT of smoke or just a small amount? A valve adjustment may help if you have an oil burning issue. Do you keep an eye on your oil dip stick? How often do you top off the oil?

If its the entire range thats strange. I think you should get a compression test to check if your rings are shot. I still think its the carbon blowing out of your car exhaust. After DDing my S for about a week, if I get on it I'll get a cloud of black (looks gray in the rearview, but its black at the exhaust tips) smoke near my ignition cut in 1st, 2nd gear. Are you getting puffs or constant streams? You'll need a friend to check it though, its impossible for you to see the color at the exhaust pipes and the timing of it.
Are you running a test pipe by any chance?

Thats oil,but a little bit. When you start burning alot of oil, then you will see a blue hue to it. Might want to check your pcv system. Otherwise,it could be the oil control rings starting to give out.

My AP1 with 94k on it does the exact same thing. It's most likely just the typical oil burning issue with these cars. Do you have a test pipe? I noticed it more when I installed mine. I wouldn't worry too much at this point.
