Default Grinding Vibration when turning left

Anyone know what would cause a grinding vibration type feel and noise only when turning left during acceleration? The sharper the left turn and under more acceleration is when it’s most noticeable. I have had the axles swapped sides and put axles spacers on thinking the issue was the axles, doing that seemed to help initially but the issue came back the more I drove. I even swapped the axles with a different set and the results were the same.

Are these symptoms of bad wheel bearings or the diff?

Too hard to say based on the symptom description. Best thing to do at this point is to get the car up in the air and spin the rear wheels by hand, listen for anything abnormal, look for signs around hubs of bearing failure, drain the diff and inspect for any abnormally large metal shavings/chunks present.

Yea I had the diff fluid drained and replaced. No metal shavings or anything else that would give a clear indication of the problem. Nothing noticeable when spinning the wheels either.

Another way I would describe the feeling is if the traction control was activated during sharp left turns even though it’s not losing traction. The VSA light doesn’t flash on either. It feels more similar to the traction control system of a G35, not what I normally feel when vsa kicks on for a split second in the S.

Educated online diag is the Torsen unit is binding internally.... something similar happened to me and replacing it was the solution.

Could be the VSA. I dont have any experience with DBW models to be familiar enough with any inherent symptoms when there is a problem.

VSA lights up as it engages. It flashes sometimes when it engages momentarily and repeatedly. So it ain't VSA if light isn't coming on.

If its diff, its odd its only turning one direction that issue occurs.

What fluid is being used in the diff? Inappropriate viscosity can cause odd torsen behavior.
