Hard Shifting Squeak
Ok, I've seached the forums and the FAQ but have not found an explination for this symptom. The closest thing I found was this old thread for an AP1:

My 06 has about 3600 miles on so far, and the car has been great. One thing I am noticing though is that if I shift aggressivley in pretty much any gear, I hear a quite noticeable squeak in the drivetrain. Almost as if it is a product of drivetrain lash.
I am just curious if this is a symptom of weak or broken tranny/engine/diff mounts? Has anyone else had this noise in their AP2??

i just got my 06 about 2 months ago, and i hear that sqeak, and sometimes a grind. most of the time it happens when im going making a left turn from a stop. not sure what it is, but im planning on taking my car back up to the dealership to see if they can figure out what it is.
When I shift at redline quickly, as I let out the clutch, I hear a sqeak from either the transmission or the rear diff. I know it's not a tire chirp. It's seems like it's from the drivetrain flexing or torquing, like the somethiing that is squeaking is giving way rather than the power going to the ground. I think I will take it in and have the motor/trans/diff mounts checked. I was just wondering if this was a common occurance.
Oh, and yes, the VSA is off...

I'm not too sure on all the details for the MY06's but this sounds like it might be your clutch. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, I suspect it is your clutch release delay, I think the MY06's have it as well as the 04s and 05s. I think what you're hearing is the clutch slipping up against the flywheel. Since you only hear it when driving aggressively you're getting on the gas earlier and the engine is revving up more before the clutch is fully engaging as you change gears.
I suggest this because I have a CRX that does the same thing if I shift and ease the clutch out a little too slowly. I get a slight groaning/squeak sound from the transmission that directly correlates with my clutching the car.
I'm not saying that you're clutching too slowly, rather the delay in your clutch release is keeping the clutch from engaging as soon as you let your foot off the clutch pedal.
