Default Hard time finding oil leak

Hi everyone so I had a minor oil leak which looked like it was coming from the VTEC solenoid gasket. I couldnt find anything that looked like it was coming from the valve cover so I went ahead and got my mechanic to change the VTEC Solenoid gasket. Before the change it was only leaking about 1-4 small drops of oil, now the leak has become much worse ever since the VTEC solenoid gasket was changed. Just before I drop some cash to get a entire new vtec solenoid I`d like to know everyones input on where they think it could possibly be coming from.

Thanks everyone in advance

Why is the mechanic not able to diagnose a oil leak?

^ This. I would have personally added some UV dye to the oil, cleaned the area REALLY well, driven, and found the leak. Some of the people who call themselves mechanics frighten me.

If the leak got worse maybe the part wasn't installed properly or torqued to spec. The other source of leak on the solenoid is from the upper half of the unit, where the two parts join together. Maybe see if it is leaking from there. The vtec solenoid is pretty exposed it shouldn't be hard to diagnose a leak there.

Leaks that can come from that area (right front of engine):

-valve cover
-VTEC gasket between block and head
-VTEC top half gasket (the one you cant buy separately)
-VTEC pressure switch (the switch goes bad inside, and the oil leaks right through the electrical connector)
-TCT top cap oring
-TCT body orings
-oil light switch

Well he never really diagnosed it because when I saw where the leak was coming from I assumed it was the VTEC solenoid gasket ( my fault ). So I bought the part and told him to replace that. Thank you Billman thats exactly what I was looking for
