Default Having issues fitting the J's cooling plate

I recently got a J's Racing intake and a J's Racing cooling plate, spent several hours cutting up the hood so it can close with the intake on there and finally got it to do so. Then installed the cooling plate and now the hood won't latch no matter how hard I press down on it.

I can get the hood to close if I put the cooling plate there and leave out the rubber seal that lines the front bumper, or if I take out the cooling plate and just leave the rubber seal there, but I can't have both the rubber seal and the cooling plate on there or else the hood won't close. It's original J's racing so why isn't it working?

I tried lowering the little bumps that determine how low the hood closes and that didn't do much either. Any suggestions?

correct, the version i have is for a stock hood, however it still requires cutting.

the intake fitment isn't the issue though, it's the cooling plate. intake fits fine.

Did you take off the metal piece when you installed your cooling plate? If not, that's your problem. Hope that helps

#9 is the front bumper seal, that's where the hood meets the front bumper. It has a metal piece that needs to be removed for the hood to close. You put the rubber seal around the cooling plate, then secure it with the front bumper bolts.

Actually, I believe it's #4 is the metal piece I'm talking about. #4 is called the front bumper stiffener (upper).

yeah that part has been removed, if anything i'll try and take pics tomorrow, but for a point of reference, without the cooling plate there right now, you can see right down the bumper. there's literally nothing there. it's just that the extra 2mm of thickness of the plate that causes the hood to not be able to close which really confuses me.

Yeah mine is a bit different from that. I just wish it would fit like it's supposed to. I tried everything from removing screws to cutting the hood even more, changing the height of the hood, taking off the latch to make sure the latch itself is working properly etc, don't really know what else to look for.
