Default Having trouble reinstalling transmission case

does anyone have any tips to complete this? Is it possible I lowered my subframe “too much”?

There isn’t a lot of space to get the spindle Into the clutch/bracket because of the “tunnel”.

I currently have two jacks supporting the case.

My car is on 4 jack stands at the max height.

Thanks so much

No, not really possible to lower subframe too much to cause issue reconnecting trans.

Your issue is likely either the clutch fork, or the alignment of clutch disk to pp. What did you use to align the disk when pp torqued down?

my clutch fork is on the inside of the case, but can’t really move the case due to the lack of room. I used the included alignment tool competition provided in their clutch kit. After torquing I removed the tool. For some reason though, i think the release bearing is too far out. There’s really not a lot of room to move the case. If you think a picture would be better, I can grab one for you

Thanks for the time

I removed the fork for the pictures. I can't move the case back anymore and the spindle is below the bearing. I feel like its something really simple but this has taken me longer than the whole job up to now.

I removed the oil pan because i'm also going FI btw.

Release bearing seems to sit correctly, did you lower the subframe the full 3 inches on both front and rear bolts?
Is the transmission slightly rotated? Not sure if that would cause problems though.
Seems you are not using the correct Honda grease so make sure that red stuff does really work and don't forget to apply some on the splines as well (looks dry on the pic).

I removed engine mountings &<alloy arms that bolt to engine> when I did my engine install, and rested on the sump & cross beam.
I left the box in situ.

Just providing an update. I had my wife push the engine back a little more while I attached the case. I also went and bought a trans jack which made balancing the case 100x easier.

The clutch fork was backwards and didn’t notice until everything was back together. I read a post here about someone trying to force it out and broke their case, so I just removed the case again. Took a little longer, but did it right.

Thanks everyone
