Default header/exhaust combo questions

whats up guys. i just bought my new 2003 s2000 last week and just barely broke it in. i'm looking for an exhaust/header combo that makes the most power. BUT, i want an exhaust that is pretty quiet. i guess i'm getting old here. can any gus give me some feedback and recomondations? i'm sure someone here has used mugen, comptech, spoon, dcsports. thanks in adanvce.

If you want quiet go with the Mugen exhaust.

As most may suggest, you can do a search and find a bunch of info. From what I've seen, DC sports won't give you much in the header department. I believe a comptech header is about the best, but mugen and spoon are pretty close. Team Spugen is supposed to making one, but it's still in the works. Team spugen will be under $500 if not $450...I think?

If you want power, i'm under the impression that V-AFC is the way to go. It allows you to tune your A/F ratios

well im on the way to a nos system, so i'm looking for whatever works best with the juice. i don't need to speeding everyday, so a tc or sc is pointless for me. i'm just wait for that odometer to read 1000.

Well be careful with your NITROUS system, some people have had the 75 shot and had good results but wound up damaging the engine.

if you are smart you will can the nos idea. second, go with the mugen header and exhaust combo for quality and results. i am getting my toda header soon and will let you know how it is, but if you want a combo only mugen makes a worthwhile combo. do your homework. this car is very hard to tune N/A for power. if you want alot of power forced induction is the only way.

I'm wondering, why are you going with this combo?

i dont see what the big problem with nitrous is? every single car i've owned has at one time sipped the juice. my last car, a '97 nsx, had a 90hp shot of the juice (12.34 1/4). my car before that, a '93 rx7 also was on the bottle to spool my ihi rx6b (11.67 1/4) . and that leads to my first car, a '90 crx with a b18b1, dual mikuni 44's with a 200hp two stage nitrous system that ran 11.23 in the quarter. so as you see i'm a nos junkie. i love the sh*t. nos gets a bad rep because people go out and dont take teh neccesary percautions beofore hitting it. 100hp "shot" with stock timing, iginitions and regulators are a bad mix. i know this may soudn shocking to most of you "purists". but, i've had my car for 2 weeks now, and living in LA, im sick of f*cking civics reving on me. sorry thing is, most of them civics have b16 or b18's and will give me a run. and i don't want to supercharge and live with that dreadfull whine, i guess that's me getting older. and i don't want a complete engine build and turbocharge either. i have my project car i'm building at this time. (510 with a sr20det redtop with hks gt3037 turbo)
