No blame required. My point is, is it worth spending close to a thousand dollars for a 2 - 3 HP (if any) increase that will translate to zero performance gain on the road? If you are looking for bragging rights, fine. If your looking for more performance, send your head to Alaniz, then get the header. Or better yet, save your money for a SC or Turbo.

Hey fperra

Regarding your mugen, I noticed the secondaries on the mugen are larger than the primaries. Something I didn't see on other headers. I thought that would benefit an SC app or degrade it.

Can anyone explain the value the increased diameter makes?

Thanks

My car picked up 4-6 lbs-ft of torque throughout the midrange with the Mugen header and no other mods. From 7k-8k power was the same as stock and at peak it was down 1-2 hp. This was based on dyno runs done the same day.

You might also want to contact sevent. He did runs before and after the Mugen header and gained no peak power, but gained power and torque pretty much everywhere below the peak.

fltsfshr, turbo cars don't use "headers" in the same way N/A cars use them. They use exhaust manifolds-which are directly connected to the turbo. In most cases, they don't look similar at all.

I installed a used DC Sports header which I bought cheap and it bogs a lot less off the line than when it was stock. Everything else is stock. Design wise, the stock looks almost the same as the DC sports header so I would not be surprised if there are no HP gains up top.
