AEM V2.....$250
TB.............$400
Test pipe..$200
VAFC 2......$300 (not including tuning, but I know you charge $150 UL)

Total......$3000

So, you can have an extra 30hp NA or a used S/C (there are plenty in that price range) with an extra 100hp for $3k. Hmmmm, I'll take the S/C....
But don't forget the sacrifice you make in going FI. Higher maintenance concerns and rolling the dice with reliability issues IMO.

Well that's just silly - comparing used products to new products? Why not just buy used goods for the NA car as well?

Aside from HP and Tq--what about weight? If anyone's tried to lighten the car, the front end is the hardest place to take weight from--and if you mod your car the front end is typically the EASIEST place to add weight.

With that said, how many lbs does the Mugen or the Toda shave off?

The stock header weighs about 25lbs with the heatshields.
The Toda weighs in around 13lbs.
Not too sure about the Mugen.

Few if any people are doing FI set-ups for $3K total, used including.

It does?? Thanks for all the compelling evidence ...try the search function, there have been plenty of S/C's, Comptech and Vortech, go for less than $3k.
