headlight brightness
i finally got my car back from the shop, among other things they replaced the driver side headlight. today i noticed that the new headlight is nowhere near as bright as the passenger one. i understand that the angle you look at the light will effect how bright it appears, so i tried adjusting the level. but it is still nowhere near as bright. you can tell when you look dead on at the headlight becuase you get the bright circle around the bulb, but on the new one i just get a dim ring. anybody have any idea what may cause this, or could it jsut be a bad headlight.
thanks
thanks
Nope ... It looks like they changed the HID D2S bulb as well.
The Phillips D2S 85122 (4300 Kelvin) needs to burn around 100 hours before it has this bright white light. Phillips now is selling a new bulb to address this issue with 5000 Kelwin for exchange bulbs to make it look like the already used bulb. Repair shops don't know about this new bulb. The difference is I think a letter behind the 85122 X.
You have to change both bulbs to match the color or wait around 100 hours.

Was the bulb destroyed as well or only the headlight housing ??
