Some butthole in a big truck backed over the front of my car last weekend, and now I have to replace the passenger-side headlight. The headlight works fine, but the plastic lens is cracked. Honda will only sell me a $500 complete light assembly. Is it really necessary to do this, or can I just replace the plastic part that's cracked? Is it some kind of special sealed system that must remain intact?
