Default HELP... 02 Sensor

Ok, so I'm installing a test pipe and after some struggling (due to rust) I can get all the bolts except for the 02 sensor bolt out. I tired to disconnect the wire from the cat, but could not. Is there a trick to this??? This is driving me nuts.

So, the actual sensor is stuck in there? I used a large Crescent type wrench and "snapped" it loose to get it started. A little Liquid Wrench at the sensor base will help if sprayed on 1/2 hour before you try to unscrew it. Oh, make sure it's "lefty loosey".

Since I can't seem to get the bolt loosened/ sensor out. Can the wire be disconnected from the actual cat? This way I can remove it from the car and work on it in a vice or something.

Follow the wiring over the trans and unplug the sensor. There may be a plastic clip or 2 holding the wiring in place as well. You can then remove the cat with the sensor still installed.

Yes follow the wire up to where it plugs in and un hook it! then pull the whole cat. out! Theres also a few clips that hold the sensor wire too. just unhook the wire u shouldnt have a problem with this.
