Default Help!

Yesterday I was driving my car and decided to get on it a little bit. I brought it to about 9K and shifted. When I did the car went into second. But I don`t think it grabbed because when I put my foot back on the gas the car wasn`t going anyfast but the RPMs went up to about 8K and then it grabbed and the car alsmot went sideways. Not to mention the car is having trouble reving up and it feels like it has almost no power my honda dealer is clsoed right now because they are rebiulding thier garage and they told em to go to one in the next county but i can`t get in for about 2 weeks

so for the bad typing but i forgot to post this up yesterday and i have to leave in a few minutes

Don't know why your car feels like it doesn't have power, but your problem during the 1-2 shift when the engine revved to 8K before getting traction that was likely due to one of two things:
1) The clutch was slipping or
2) The tires were slipping.

If the road was cold or slick, I'd guess that number 2 was your problem, and you should be more careful on cold/slick roads.

Well it was a bit cold outside...I didn`t know that cold raods could have an effect on RWD cars. I know that I have to be carful on really hot days because of the oils in the road...I also think that my clucth is gone because it didn`t seem to be grabbing like it should. I was told that my clucth was going by Honda about a month ago but they told me it should last me about another 3 months or so.....But it is taking longer the usual to redline...After that I did it a few more time just to make sure it wasn`t my driving. Thanks for your imput

If your clutch slips, you accelerate a lot slower than normal while the rpm's go up. oem clutch sucks, try an act hdss.

On my ghetto saturn for instance, normally you can go 35 in first gear, well the clutch is bad so it revs like normal but it accelerates really slow esp in lower gears. It only goes up to like 20 in first gear.

my friend told me his old integra (an 87) could only do 30 in 3rd gear.

Yeah it is definately slipping because whenever I shift I either have to ride it out until it grabs or push it back in and hope it grabs again...I never really delt with a slipping clucth before...This is not my first standard car...But this is my first standard car that is fast and my first RWD Car so I thank everyone who is sheading light on this for me

They don't ... cold conditions have an affect on tire performance, regardless of which wheels move the car.

Dude what did you think would happen... Honda tells you your clutch only has 3 months to live, and you take it to 9k, and you expect it *not* to slip? I'm trying really hard but I just can't seem to find the common sense in your post
