Thumbs up HELP!

Well I've had my car for over two years now with never having any problems whatsoever, but a few days ago that started to change. As I turn the car on when its cold and I drive away the car made this metal like high pitched sound for no more than 3 to 4 seconds and then goes away, this happened the first few times I didnt pay much attention to it since I didnt really wanted to worry but after the third time I got really worried. Well last night as I was leaving my house the sound would not stop, I made my girl open the door as I slowly drove to identify where the sound comes from and from what we heard its coming from the rear of the car. Im thinking it has something to do with the drive shaft or one of the rear wheels. Anyone has any idea what this could be? I had to go back home and get my beater so I wouldn;t put anymore stress on whatever it may be. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.
