Default Help with an AP1 Coolant Flush, for Type1 to Type2 Coolant

I need to stop procrastinating and I need to get this done.

Basically I have a 2000 AP1 and it still has the Type1(Green) Coolant and I want to run the Typ2(Blue) Coolant. But I know I cannot mix both and I need to do a coolant Flush. But my question is, how do I go about draining and flushing out the coolant left after the thermostat. It would be pretty simple if the thermostat was easy to access but its a PITA to get to on these cars.
So how are you guys going about flushing it out or is there a trick, I don't know about??

I tried PM Billman but I never got a response. I got down how to bleed and squeeze the top hose, etc... now my only question is how to properly flush out the system before I add the Blue coolant.

Also can I run the car by just running the garden hose until the thermo opens, or how do I go about it? because I also read people saying not to introduce tap water into the system because its a huge no, no...due to hard minerals, etc....

DO NOT! use the garden hose to flush the system, the system doesn't even need to be flushed in my opinion. Use air to blast all the coolant out of the system, it's about 1.7 gallons, then just re-fill it with blue coolant and bleed. You're more likely to corrode your engine with hose water than old Honda coolant.

you don't need to "flush" the system. The coolant will drain out just fine by our friend gravity. i also blow shop air in to push the last bits out of the block and heater core.

here are pictures.

good luck and be smart about it. honda makes kickass coolant. buy the best for your S.
