I don't know if I should say right now which dealership I'm talking about.

In time I will tell.

I sent a fax to Customer Relations yesterday afternoon. We were told to expect a three day turn-around.

Well that IS a different story . . .

What would Honda say to something like that?
With my experience with AHM? I would say that they would say you were lying and that it's your fault. Honda Japan would be appalled and take care of you.

After my tranny failed they said a fluid other than Honda MTF was in there, umm well NO
that what Honda MTF looks like after it gets cooked. And then they said I abused it because
of all the brass particles. Well thats what happens when a bearing goes and forces a
synchro together . . . DUH - the people investigating it were not all there or not looking out for
me in the first place.

The nice woman at the dealership that I'm dealing with now told me of a gentleman with a tranny failure who's insurance covered it.
I may go that route.

That sounds scary. I used to sell Hondas and I am fortunate to have a trusted mechanic at the stealership I used to work for. I am taking my car to him this coming Monday to change the Tranny and Diff. with RedLine. I bought the RedLine from the Parts dept and the Parts guy even said they stock the MTL for the S. I hope I don't have any issues. Good luck to ya in getting the matter resolved.

Not that you shouldn't try, but I seriously doubt your insurance would cover this. The only times I've heard of insurance covering things of this nature are when they were caused by nature. For instance, I drove through a deep puddle and hydrolocked my engine. They replaced the engine for just the cost of the deductible.

Did you express the fact you replaced the OEM intake with an aftermarket one?
