Default Help with burnt/sludge connectors

Ok so I have been trying to get my engine bay looking spotless after I replaced some parts. Just have questions on these ground wire bolts (toward the front of the bay by the headlight housing) and what I can or should do to clean it. Gonna include a pic. But will this kinda sludge decrease performance of anything? Is it a sign that something previously happended? How should I go about removing this?

Thank you guys in advance and s2k all day

Leave that on the ground connections. It's to prevent oxidation at the point of contact. Prolly applied by Honda.

Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. Was a little concerned. But I will just clean around it.

Have a good one!

I cleaned them, and applied dielectric grease -- not sure what Honda uses there from the factory (if anything).

I assume after a few years of driving, my cleaned connections will look just as dirty again.
